Part of what makes Crossfit so cool and continually growing in popularity is its ability to be done anywhere and at anytime. Alot of the movements don't require weights, but can be done with just your bodyweight. Movements such as situps, pushups, air squats, lunges, handstands, and running. Crossfit is creatively mixing and matching everyday functional movements in a constantly varied manner and performing them at a high intensity. This is fun for everyone and allows people to do some programming on their own when they are on the road or just at home and unable to make it to the gym. The ability to be able to make rocks, stairs, truck beds, pieces of wood, balls, and rope into tools to perform workouts with is unbelievably awesome! Kids and parents, I challenge you to challenge each other at home with some creative workouts. Who can do the most burpees during the commercials of your favorite show. Who can hold a handstand against the side of the house for the longest?
